The Tarija Education
and Research Centre for Rural Women (El Centro de Capacitación
e Investigación de la Mujer Campesina de Tarija) is a
non-governmental, non-profit organization that has promoted
social development in the Tarija region of Bolivia since 1986.

Our programs are
designed to assist rural women who work in institutional
and non-institutional frameworks as well as their
families. In addition, we collaborate with other
organizations that promote rural development.
CCIMCAT’s ultimate goal is to forge an
equitable society based on the empowerment of women.
Similarly, we play a leading role in ensuring women’s
active participation in political processes as well as in
the social and economic spheres.
In
addition to collaboration with governmental, non-governmental,
international development and grassroots organizations, CCIMCAT
possesses its own multidisciplinary team of professionals, who
each contribute their expertise to realize our goal.
